How Does Caffeine Give You Energy?

Here is a little background info about caffeine and how it affects your body:

Caffeine is known to giving your body an increase in alertness. What that means is that, your body works by blocking the effects of adenosine, a brain chemical that makes you feel tired. But at the same time it triggers to release adrenaline. When caffeine enters your body, it increases your heart rate and blood pressure, increasing energy levels and improving your mood. Caffeine is very effective and acts very quickly for most people.

How To Have Energy Without Caffeine:

Now getting into our topic, we all have had coffee at least once in our lives. Without coffee or any type of caffeine, we wouldn’t be able to get through the day. But is that the truth? Is caffeine the only energy source in our bodies to keep energy through out a long day?

The answer is no! Caffeine is not the only answer to having energy all day. There is a variety of different ways to stay energized without consuming any type of caffeine. Stated below is a list of tips on how to stay energized without consuming caffeine.

  • Controlling Stress: if you didn’t know, stress- induced emotions consume a large amounts of energy, causing your body to be depressed and not having the energy to move. Talking to a friend, relative, or a person who you trust about why you are feeling stressed, will help you physically and mentally reduce the amount of stress you are in. Relaxation therapies such as meditation is one way to help your body to control stress.
  • STOP OVERWORKING YOURSELF: carrying a ton of work on your shoulders can be very difficult and sometimes can cause fatigue because you are overworking yourself. Overworking yourself can make you feel obligated to being more active with your friends and family, resulting into not being able to be socializing with the people around you. Your body can only consume a specific amount of work and energy.
  • Exercise: feeling active and getting your adrenaline rushing, is an amazing source for energy. But for some of us, it is hard to feel motivated to getting up out of bed to workout or even go for a run. You have to remember that your body needs some form of physical activity, in order to keep your energy levels increased and to help your body stay in a healthy shape. Excersising on a daily basis can increase the amount of energy that your body is consuming.
  • Obtaining a reasonable amount of sleep: your body needs rest! Obtaining at least 9 hours of sleep is very effective for your body. Sleep is one of the most important activity that your body needs.
  • Protein food/drinks/snacks: consuming any type of food or drink that has protein in them will increase your energy levels. Protein-based foods provide the body with fuel to repair and build tissues. Protein takes longer than carbohydrates to break down in the body, providing a longer-lasting energy source.
